Dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 access point

The AP-515 is a Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point built for enterprise campuses and branch offices. It operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with 4x4 MIMO on the lower band and 2x2 on the higher band. Four integrated downtilt omnidirectional antennas provide 4.2 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz and 7.5 dBi at 5 GHz. The unit mounts on ceilings, walls or rails.

OFDMA and multi-user MIMO keep airtime efficient when many devices connect simultaneously. Client-match and RF optimisation continuously steer clients to the best available radio and adjust power to reduce coverage gaps. The 2.5 Gbps Smart Rate uplink prevents the wired backhaul from becoming a bottleneck during prolonged high-throughput periods. Dynamic segmentation enforces consistent policies without manual VLAN tuning.

Mounting, power and management prerequisites

Verify that your switch can deliver PoE power to the access point and that a 2.5 Gbps or 1 Gbps RJ-45 link is available for the E0 or E1 port. The proprietary serial console uses a micro-B USB connector, so have the correct cable ready for initial setup. Choose a management model — on-premises, public cloud, VPC or as-a-service — that matches your existing Aruba Central or controller infrastructure.
