Round LCD for Embedded Projects

This 1.28inch round LCD display module delivers a 240×240 resolution with 65K RGB colours on an IPS panel. The GC9A01 driver operates at 3.3V or 5V and communicates over a four-wire SPI interface that minimises the IO pins required. It is aimed at developers adding a compact colour screen to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano or STM32 based designs.

Steady Image Quality Over Time

The IPS panel maintains consistent colour and contrast across wide viewing angles during continuous operation. Because the SPI bus transfers data at a modest rate, the display is suited to relatively static or slowly changing content such as sensor readouts, status icons or simple menus rather than high-frame-rate animation. The 0.135mm pixel pitch keeps text legible at the 32.4mm active diameter.

Compact PCB With Standard Pin Header

The module measures 40.4×37.5mm overall with a 37.5mm round cut-out, allowing it to sit flush in a small enclosure or on a breadboard. A standard 0.1inch pin header provides the SPI, power and control connections, so no specialised connectors or soldering are needed for typical prototyping. The 3.3V/5V tolerance lets it interface directly with both 3.3V and 5V logic boards.
