15-piece 50 mm rubber grommet set

This pack contains fifteen black rubber grommets with a 50 mm mounting diameter and 42 mm inner diameter. They are designed to route wires through frames, firewalls or sheet metal while preventing abrasion against drilled edges. The material provides high air tightness, temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. Each grommet stands 10 mm tall with a 2 mm groove width.

Capacity and headroom

The 42 mm inner opening accommodates bundles of cable or hose up to that diameter, while the 57 mm outer flange covers the cut-out. The 2 mm groove grips panel thicknesses around that dimension, giving a secure seal in automotive or industrial panels. Larger wire bundles or thicker panels would exceed the groove depth and inner clearance, requiring a different size.

Practical limits of the rubber grommet interface

The rubber construction resists heat, cold, flame and chemicals, but it is not rated for extreme pressure or sharp-edged cut-outs without deburring. Manual measurement tolerance of 0.5–1 mm means the mounting hole should be drilled precisely to 50 mm for reliable retention. These grommets are not suited for applications demanding certified IP ratings or metal-reinforced bushings.
