The Turck BI20U-CK40-VP4X2-H1141 is a rectangular inductive proximity sensor designed for industrial automation and machine building. It detects all metals at the same rated switching distance of 20 mm thanks to its Factor 1 characteristic. IP68 Housing with M12 Connector

The sensor body uses PBT-GF30-V0 plastic rated to protection class IP68, resisting water ingress, coolants and magnetic field interference. High-luminance corner LEDs give clear indication of supply voltage and switching state from any viewing angle. The active face can be oriented in five directions, allowing flexible mounting on flush surfaces. A standard M12 × 1 male connector provides a secure, vibration-proof electrical connection for DC 4-wire operation between 10 and 65 VDC.

This uprox®+ model replaces conventional inductive sensors that lose range on non-ferrous metals or fail near strong magnetic fields such as welding equipment. The Factor 1 rating eliminates the need to de-rate sensing distance for aluminium, copper or stainless steel workpieces. Magnetic-field immunity prevents false triggering in applications with large AC currents or DC drives.
