Industrial sensing with Factor 1 output

The Turck BI10U-EG30SK-AP6X is a flush-mount inductive sensor built for automated equipment that must detect every metal at the same 10 mm range. Its uprox®+ design gives Factor 1 switching on steel, aluminium, brass and copper without recalibration. The M30 × 1.5 stainless-steel barrel fits standard mounting holes in conveyors, presses and robotic cells. A PNP normally-open output on a 10–30 VDC supply connects directly to PLC input modules through the integrated terminal chamber.

Stable detection through magnetic fields

The sensor maintains its rated 10 mm switching distance when strong welding fields or motor brakes saturate the surrounding area, because the circuitry is hardened against magnetic interference. An extended operating range keeps the output consistent from cold-start through continuous cycling, so the control loop sees identical trip points shift after shift. High switching frequency supports fast part-present checks on high-speed lines without missed pulses or jitter.

IP68 sealing and low thermal load in normal

The V2A housing rated to IP68 withstands wash-down, coolant immersion and abrasive dust without ingress, eliminating seal-related drift. Power draw stays minimal because the DC 3-wire circuit only energises the output stage when the target is present, keeping self-heating negligible inside enclosed fixtures. At 136 g the unit adds no measurable vibration load to moving brackets, and the terminal chamber allows conduit or cable-gland entry without extra enclosures.
