What this lubricant does

Sprayon SC0200000 is a general purpose dry film lubricant that uses molybdenum disulfide to create a solid, non-staining coating. It is supplied in an 11 oz net fill aerosol can with a 16 oz container size. The product carries an NSF H2 registration number 131583 and is 50 state VOC compliant at 67.3 percent content.

Behaviour under sustained load

The dry film operates continuously from minus 30 degrees F up to 650 degrees F without breaking down or becoming tacky. It resists dust and dirt attraction better than wet oils, so moving parts stay cleaner during extended cycles. The coating remains stable under high pressure and temperature where conventional lubricants would evaporate or carbonise.

What it replaces and when to switch

This aerosol replaces messy wet oils, greases or graphite pastes on slides, gears, chains and hinges that need a clean, dry film. The upgrade is worth it when contamination must be avoided, when operating temperatures exceed normal grease limits or when an H2 rated lubricant is required for incidental food contact areas. It is not for applications needing a wet, penetrating oil or a food grade H1 rated product.
