SPEED TIGER
A 3/8 inch four-flute carbide end mill with AlTiBN coating for milling alloy steels up to HRC45 and hardened steels to HRC45
Class 1 Pack
The SPEED TIGER ISE3-8-4T is a 3/8 inch solid carbide square end mill with four flutes. It is designed for milling carbon steels around HB225, alloy steels between HB225 and 325, pre-hardened steels up to HRC45, hardened steels from HRC40 to 45 and cast iron. The tool suits both DIYers and professionals handling general metalworking tasks.
The micrograin carbide substrate provides high toughness and wear resistance during cutting operations. An AlTiBN coating lubricates the flutes for stability at high temperature and offers superior wear resistance at high cutting speeds. This coating delivers better heat resistance than TiAlN, TiN or TiCN alternatives. Flutes are ground in an ISO-9001 certified factory.
The cutter features a 0.375 inch shank diameter compatible with ISE-4T tooling systems. It requires a holder or collet that accepts this specific shank size. The square end geometry produces flat-bottomed slots and pockets in the materials listed. Buyers needing different diameters, flute counts or corner-radius profiles should select another model from the same series.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Insert the .375 inch shank fully into a matching ER collet, tighten the nut to the holder's rated torque, and verify zero run-out before starting the spindle.
The AlTiBN coating wears gradually; replace the end mill once flank wear reaches the ISO 9001 factory limit or when cutting forces rise sharply in HRC 40-45 steel.
Sustained cutting above HRC 45 generates heat that degrades the AlTiBN lubrication layer, causing rapid flank wear before the carbide substrate fails.
