M18 Inductive Proximity Sensor 12 mm Range

The Sick IMF18-12NNPVC0S is a cylindrical inductive proximity sensor with an M18 x 1 thread and a 12 mm sensing range. It provides a PNP complementary output on a 4-wire DC circuit. The sensor operates on a 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply voltage with a 1,000 Hz switching frequency. Its stainless steel V4A housing and LCP sensing face meet IP68 and IP69K enclosure ratings.

M12 Connector Non-Flush Mount Integration

This sensor fits into a build via a male M12 4-pin connector and requires a non-flush mounting arrangement with a 39 mm thread length. The 65 mm housing length and 18 mm diameter define the physical envelope. It frees up wiring complexity through built-in short-circuit, reverse polarity and power-up pulse protection. The IO-Link 1.0 communication capability allows parameterisation and diagnostics without additional cabling.
