The Sick IME08-02BNOZTOK is a flush-mount inductive proximity sensor with a cylindrical M8 x 1 thread and an 8 mm diameter housing. It delivers a 2 mm sensing range and a 1.62 mm safe sensing range for reliable metal detection in automation tasks. A 4,000 Hz switching frequency supports fast cycling on conveyors or machine tools. Suited for tight machine frames

The short 41 mm body with 25 mm thread length fits confined spaces where longer barrels cannot be installed. Nickel-plated brass housing and a PA 66 sensing face resist coolant splash and mechanical knocks. The NC output function suits safety circuits that require a closed circuit in the unactuated state. Applications needing a normally open signal or a longer sensing distance should consider alternative models.

Stable output under continuous cycling

Operating from 10 V DC to 30 V DC with a 10 mA current draw, the sensor maintains reproducibility within 2 % across the –25 °C to +75 °C temperature span. Hysteresis stays between 5 % and 15 % to prevent chatter near the switching threshold. IP67 sealing and 30 g shock resistance protect internal electronics during sustained vibration. Short-circuit, reverse-polarity and power-up pulse protection guard the 200 mA continuous output during prolonged duty cycles.
