Copper-coated grounding strap

The SatelliteSale SS-GSG9-1 is a 9-inch copper-coated steel strap designed to bond a copper ground wire to metal pipes, conduits or masts. It suits installers who need a code-compliant grounding point for CATV, satellite or telephone drops on pipe diameters from 1/2 to 2 inches. The UL-listed construction and corrosion-resistant finish make it appropriate for permanent indoor or outdoor service entrances.

Clamp-on installation with set-screw stud

The strap wraps around the pipe and tightens with a curved nut that accepts a standard terminal wrench. A built-in set-screw stud lets you attach or change a 10-14 AWG ground wire without loosening the clamp from the pipe. Punched holes in the strap provide a second wiring option, so the same hardware works whether you terminate at the strap or at a separate ground block.
