Solid Carbide Router Bit

This solid carbide router bit features an O-flute upcut spiral design intended for soft plastic applications. The 1/8 inch cutter diameter and uncoated finish support clean chip evacuation in plastic sheet or block stock. It is built for CNC routing and hand-held operations where a sharp edge and upward chip flow are required. The Onsrud 63-763 suits fabricators and sign makers cutting acrylic, HDPE or similar thermoplastics.

Soft plastic routing only

The upcut geometry pulls chips upward, which helps prevent re-cutting in soft plastics but can lift thin workpieces or cause tear-out on brittle materials like phenolic or fibreglass. Buyers needing downcut or compression spirals for double-sided laminate, hardwood or aluminium should look at alternative flute styles. This bit is not suited for high-volume production runs that demand coated tooling for extended life.

1/8 inch cutter diameter

The cutting diameter of 1/8 inch determines the minimum internal corner radius and the width of the kerf in your toolpath. Verify that your collet or tool holder accepts the shank size before ordering. If your design requires a larger or smaller kerf, select a bit with a different cutter diameter.
