Transparent Silicone Weather Stripping Kit

The Meterk kit contains sixteen transparent silicone strips, each ten metres long and twenty-five millimetres wide. The strips are designed for frameless sliding doors, glass doors, plastic-steel and aluminium windows, shower enclosures and door bottoms. The silicone material resists sunlight and rain without degrading and is non-toxic. The adhesive backing is waterproof and formulated to hold firmly in wet or dry conditions.

Wipe the mounting surface clean, cut the strip to length, remove the release liner and press into place; the supplier notes the job can be done in about two minutes. In low room temperatures the adhesive viscosity drops, so warming the strip with a hair dryer or storing it in a warm place beforehand restores tack. Dust on the frame is the most common cause of poor adhesion, so thorough cleaning before application prevents the strip from lifting later.
