Replacing Chains and Slings on Thin Plate

This magnet replaces chains, slings or clamps when lifting clean, flat steel plate up to the rated capacity. The jump is worth it when the load surface is smooth, rust-free and thick enough to develop full holding force. It is not for curved, rough, painted or thin-gauge material where the magnetic circuit cannot close. Buyers who need to lift non-ferrous metals, irregular shapes or loads above 200 lb must use a different method.
