T15 Chisel Tip 2.4 mm x 10 mm

The Hakko T15-D24 is a chisel-style soldering tip measuring 2.4 mm wide by 10 mm long with a 0.5 mm thickness. It fits T15-series handpieces such as the FM-2027 and FM-2028 and works with stations including the FM-202, FM-203, FM-204, FM-206, FP-101, FP-102, FX-950 and FX-951. The composite HAWA material handles a maximum operating temperature of 840 °F.

Sustained-heat behaviour

At the rated 840 °F the tip maintains stable heat transfer during long joints or multi-lead work without the temperature droop seen in shorter bursts. The 10 mm length gives a larger thermal mass than smaller chisel tips, so recovery between joints stays consistent across extended sessions. The composite construction resists oxidation at peak temperature, preserving wetting performance over many hours of use.

Upgrade path and fit

This tip replaces worn or oxidised T15 chisel tips of the same 2.4 mm width, restoring original heat-up speed and solder flow. It is not for users who need a narrower conical tip for fine-pitch SMD work or a wider blade for heavy power connectors. The jump is worthwhile when an existing T15 chisel no longer wets cleanly at 840 °F or when the 0.5 mm thickness has eroded, but it does not add new station compatibility beyond the listed FM and FX models.
