9 mm insulated open-end wrench

The Gray Tools MEBO9-I is a 9 mm open-end wrench insulated for live electrical work up to 1000 V. Each piece is individually tested to ASTM F1505 and carries a dual-layer orange and yellow coating that acts as a visual safety indicator. It is intended for electricians and maintenance technicians who must work on energised equipment.

9 mm jaw capacity and voltage limit

The 9 mm jaw fits fasteners of that exact size and the insulation is rated for 1000 V maximum. Beyond that voltage the protection cannot be relied upon, and the fixed jaw cannot accommodate larger or smaller nuts. The tool is a single-size wrench, so any job requiring multiple fastener sizes will need additional wrenches.

Insulation integrity and chemical notice

The orange outer layer and yellow inner layer remain intact during normal use, providing immediate visual confirmation that the insulation has not been compromised. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the product contains chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. No power draw, noise or thermal output is generated by this hand tool.
