Three-phase measurement tool

The ETCR 4700 is a digital phase volt-ampere meter built for electricians who need to verify three-phase systems in the field. It measures AC current up to 600A and AC voltage up to 600V on all three phases simultaneously. Phase angles between voltages, currents and voltage-to-current are captured across a 0.0° to 360.0° range. The instrument also calculates frequency, phase sequence, active, reactive and apparent power plus power factor.

Clamp-based connection and data logging

Each measurement uses the supplied F8mm clamp CTs, so circuits remain live while testing proceeds. No open-loop interruption is required, which keeps panels energised during inspection. Results for up to 500 groups can be stored internally for later review or reporting. The meter additionally identifies transformer wiring groups and distinguishes inductive from capacitive loading on maintenance lines.

Battery-powered low-draw operation

The unit runs on internal batteries and is designed for low power consumption during extended sessions. A red handheld casing protects the electronics in typical site conditions. Because the clamps sense current without breaking conductors, there is no additional heat or insertion loss introduced into the circuit under test.
