Six-piece spade bit set for wood and composites

The DekoTech set contains six carbon-steel paddle bits sized 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm and 25mm. Each bit is heat-treated and polished for wear resistance and long service life. A 1/4" hex shank fits most standard power drills. The range covers common hole diameters for furniture, cabinetry and general woodworking.

Flat spade geometry limits precision and depth

Spade bits cut fast but wander more than brad-point or Forstner bits, especially at the larger 20mm and 25mm diameters. They leave a rougher hole wall and can blow out the back face of thin sheet stock. Chip evacuation slows in deep holes, so frequent withdrawal is needed. The design is not suited for angled holes, overlapping bores or materials harder than soft metal.

Replaces individual spade bits and small hole saws

Buying the set avoids purchasing separate bits for each common diameter. It upgrades from a single-size bit when a project needs multiple hole sizes. The jump is worth it if you regularly drill 10mm to 25mm holes in wood, plywood, particle board, fiberboard, PVC or fiberglass. It does not replace auger bits for deep clean holes or Forstner bits for flat-bottom precision work.
