10 mm Register Mark Sensor

The Banner R58ECRGB1 is a photoelectric switch sensor designed for registration mark detection on packaging and converting lines. It operates on a 10-30 V dc supply and provides both NPN and PNP bipolar outputs for flexible PLC integration. The zinc alloy die-cast housing carries an IP67 rating for wash-down environments. A teach button enables quick setup without external tools.

10 mm Range with RGB Sensing

The sensor detects marks at a maximum distance of 10 mm with a 1.2 x 3.8 mm spot size. Red, green and blue LEDs at 636 nm, 525 nm and 472 nm allow contrast tuning across varied substrate colours. Output response time is 0.05 ms with 15 µs repeatability for high-speed registration. Operating temperature spans -10 °C to 50 °C at up to 90 % relative humidity.

Upgrade from Single-Colour Sensors

This unit replaces single-wavelength sensors when mark contrast shifts between runs or when glossy materials cause false triggers. The RGB array and teach function reduce changeover time on multi-product lines. It is not suited for applications requiring luminescence detection, colour sorting or IO-Link communication.
