Registration Mark Sensor 10-30V

The Banner R58ACG1 is a registration mark sensor designed for detecting contrast marks on packaging or web materials. It operates on a 10-30 V dc supply and provides bipolar outputs with one NPN and one PNP transistor. A visible green LED beam at 525 nm wavelength allows simple alignment during setup. The zinc alloy die-cast housing carries an IP67 rating for harsh industrial environments.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The sensor maintains a repeatability of 15 µs and an output response time of 0.05 ms across its operating range of -10°C to 50°C. A 100 ms power-up delay prevents false triggers during system start-up. The potentiometer adjustment lets operators fine-tune sensitivity for consistent mark detection over long production runs. Humidity tolerance reaches 90% at 50°C without condensation.

Interface Practical Limits

The 2 m cable terminates in a 4-pin connection without a quick-disconnect option, fixing the installation distance. Maximum sensing range is 10 mm with a beam spot of 1.2 x 3.8 mm at that distance. The parallel beam orientation requires the sensor length to align with the mark direction. No IO-Link, analog output or timing functions are available on this model.
