The Banner Q4XFKLAF310-Q8 is a new Class 1 laser proximity sensor designed for industrial detection tasks. It operates on a 10-30 V dc supply and uses a visible red laser beam at 655 nm wavelength. The rectangular stainless steel housing features an integral M12 4-pin Euro connector for flush mounting. Sensing range defines the application

The sensor detects objects from 35 mm to 310 mm with adjustable field settings. Repeatability is specified as ±0.5 mm between 35 mm and 60 mm and ±1% of range from 60 mm to 310 mm. Temperature effect is ±0.05 mm/°C up to 135 mm and ±0.35 mm/°C at the maximum distance. A 750 ms power-up delay applies before the output becomes active. Buyers who need longer range or wider temperature stability must choose a different model.

Output and connectivity options

One PNP/NPN output supports IO-Link communication alongside a second PNP discrete output. Adjustments are made via push button or remote teach function. LED indicators provide status display. The unit meets MIL-STD-202G Method 201A vibration requirements and Method 213B Condition I mechanical shock at 100G. Parts coverage extends for 3 years and labor for 1 year. Users requiring PC configuration or analog output will not find those features here.
