Plastic Fiber Diffuse Sensor

The Banner PBT66U is a plastic fiber-optic sensor designed for diffuse reflective sensing in industrial automation. It uses a 1.5 mm core diameter and a 2 m fiber length to detect objects without a separate reflector. The M6 threaded nickel-plated brass tip allows direct mounting into threaded ports.

Suited for tight spaces and free-cut installation

This sensor suits applications where the fiber must be trimmed to exact length on site and where a 40 mm minimum bend radius can be maintained. It is not suited for installations that require chemical resistance, extended sensing range, or small-object detection beyond the capability of a 1.5 mm core.

1.5 mm core diameter and 2 m length define

The 1.5 mm core diameter and 2.000 m fiber length determine the light-gathering area and maximum working distance. The free-cut termination lets the installer set the exact length, while the 10000-cycle bend endurance supports repeated flexing within the 40 mm radius limit.
