Electrician temperature controller

The Autonics TZ4W-14R is a panel-mounted temperature controller designed for electricians and maintenance engineers who need precise process regulation. It accepts a wide range of thermocouple and RTD sensor inputs alongside analog voltage and current signals. The unit operates on a universal 100-240VAC supply suitable for global industrial installations. A 4-digit 7-segment LED provides clear local indication of the measured value.

Relay output and sampling cycle

The controller uses a relay output rated at 250VAC 3A for direct switching of heaters, contactors or alarms. A fixed 500ms sampling cycle ensures consistent response across ON/OFF, P, PI, PD, PIDF and PIDS control modes. The standard DIN form factor simplifies panel cut-out and wiring in new or retrofit cabinets. Red LED colour aids visibility in brightly lit electrical rooms.

Universal input flexibility

The single specification that decides fit is the combined input specification covering K, J, E, T, R, S, N, W thermocouples, DPt100 and JPt100 RTDs, plus 1-5VDC, 0-10VDC and 4-20mA analog signals. If the application requires a sensor type outside this list or a faster sampling rate than 500ms, this controller will not meet the requirement.
