This 12-inch length of black cross-linked polyolefin tubing carries a 3:1 shrink ratio and an adhesive lining. It is built for electricians and maintenance crews who need a rigid, abrasion-resistant seal on large conductors. The material resists acids, alkalis and UV exposure across a temperature range of -67 to 230 degrees F. Each piece is sold individually for precise job planning.

Replaces tape and thin-wall sleeves

The heavy 0.17-inch recovered wall and adhesive liner create a moisture-proof barrier that standard electrical tape or light tubing cannot match. The upgrade is worth it when sealing splices on wire sizes from 250 MCM to 750 MCM where mechanical protection and environmental sealing are both required. The 2-inch supplied diameter slides over bulky connectors before shrinking to a 0.65-inch recovered inside diameter.

Limited to 3:1 ratio and heavy-wall dimensions

The fixed 3:1 ratio means the tubing cannot accommodate transitions wider than the 2-inch to 0.65-inch range. The 0.17-inch recovered wall adds bulk that may not fit inside tight enclosures or conduit fill calculations. The rigid, flame-retardant-no formulation also rules out applications that mandate a specific flammability rating.
