Compact 1U server for AMD EPYC workloads

The Supermicro AS-1014S-WTRT is a 1U rackmount barebone built around a single Socket SP3 processor from the AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003 series. It targets database processing, storage clusters and firewall appliances where density and integrated 10GbE matter. No memory, drives or CPU are installed, so the integrator chooses the exact configuration.

Eight DDR4 slots and hot-swap bays in 1U

Eight 288-pin DDR4 3200 slots support up to 2TB of registered ECC memory. Four 3.5-inch hot-swap SATA 600 bays sit at the front, with an optional kit adding four U.2 NVMe drives on PCI-E 3.0. Two full-height half-length PCI-E 4.0 x16 slots and one low-profile PCI-E 4.0 x16 slot provide expansion, though some 4.0 devices may run at 3.0 speed. Dual RJ45 10GBase-T ports and a dedicated IPMI LAN port handle networking, while an Aspeed AST2500 BMC gives remote management and VGA output.

Replaces larger 2U boxes when 10GbE and density win

This chassis replaces 2U general-purpose servers when rack space is at a premium and the workload fits a single-socket EPYC with up to 2TB RAM. The jump is worth it when you need native 10GbE, four hot-swap drives and three PCI-E 4.0 slots in one rack unit. It is not for builders who need dual-socket scaling, more than eight DIMM slots, or GPU compute density beyond the low-profile slot.
