Why this route exists at all

Somebody building out a rack for a workload that does not fit a cloud bill — rendering, indexing, self-hosted storage, a node — usually does not want a relationship with a vendor. They want the chassis, the drives and the memory, and they want them this week. Paying on-chain removes the credit check and the account entirely, and the parts arrive from the same distribution as anywhere else.

Nothing about the product changes. Server memory is still registered ECC, enterprise drives still carry their published endurance ratings, and the twenty-four-month warranty is handled here rather than routed through a manufacturer support contract.

What to check on a rackmount listing

Rack units and depth first — a short rack will not take a deep chassis and that is discovered exactly once. Then the drive bay count and form factor, the backplane type, the power supply configuration (single or redundant, and at what wattage), and the socket count on the board. All of it is in the specification block where the manufacturer publishes it.

Memory is the part that most often has to be bought separately, and server memory is its own section for the good reason that it does not interchange with desktop modules.
