500 MHz bandwidth and 100 W PoE++ ceiling

The cable is rated to 500 MHz, which is the upper limit of the Cat6a standard and the practical ceiling for 10 GbE over copper at this length. It also supports 100 W PoE++, the maximum power level defined for four-pair power delivery, so the same cord carries both data and full-power devices. Runs that exceed the channel distance allowed by the standard will lose the 10 GbE guarantee regardless of cable quality.

S/FTP shielding decides fit for noisy environments

Each of the four pairs is individually foil-shielded and the overall cable carries a braided screen, giving S/FTP protection against electromagnetic interference. This construction is the deciding factor when the cable must run beside power distribution units, fluorescent ballasts or dense fibre trays. If the installation path stays in a low-noise office drop, an unshielded U/UTP cord would be lighter and easier to terminate.
