This 5 ft blue Cat 6 patch cable connects two RJ45 ports in a home office, a small server rack or a temporary test bench. It uses four-pair UTP construction with 24 AWG stranded copper conductors and moulded strain-relief boots. The cord is rated for 100 W Power over Ethernet so cameras, access points or VoIP phones can draw power over the same run. Cat 6 — 500 MHz bandwidth

The single specification that decides fit is the Cat 6 rating at 500 MHz, which supports 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps signalling up to 160 ft. Wiring follows the TIA/EIA-568-B.1-2001 T568B pinout and the cable carries UL file E132276-A plus ETL verification. If your switch or NIC only negotiates Fast Ethernet, the extra headroom goes unused; if you need longer than 160 ft at 10 Gbps, this category cannot guarantee the throughput.

Stable throughput on long PoE runs

Because the conductors are 100 % copper and the jacket is UL rated, resistance stays low enough to deliver the full 100 W PoE budget without excessive voltage drop across the 5 ft length. The 250 MHz tested bandwidth margin keeps crosstalk in check during sustained 10 Gbps transfers, so the link remains error-free during backups or video streams that last hours rather than seconds.
