Converts USB-C PD 12 V output to a 4.0×1.7 mm barrel jack for LED lights, routers or fans, with built-in IC protection and a 100 cm PVC-sheathed copper cable
This cable converts a USB-C Power Delivery source that supplies 12 V into a 4.0×1.7 mm barrel output for internal devices. It targets builders who want to run 12 V fans, LED strips, routers or similar gear from a PD charger or power bank without an external adapter. The 100 cm length reaches across most chassis layouts.
The cable requires a USB-C PD source capable of delivering 12 V; it cannot negotiate higher voltages and will not work with standard 5 V-only ports. Maximum output is 12 V at 3 A, so connected loads must stay within that envelope. It frees up a mains socket and removes a bulky wall wart from the build, but it adds no voltage regulation beyond the source's own PD negotiation.
A built-in intelligent IC provides over-current, over-voltage, overload and short-circuit protection for the attached device. The aluminium alloy ring and PET joint are moulded together for a secure barrel fit, while a copper core and PVC sheath aim for stable power delivery and abrasion resistance. The package includes only the single 100 cm cable.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable is rated for a maximum of 12 V at 3 A, so it will pass the full capability of a matching PD source without an extra bottleneck.
The alloy aluminium ring and PET joint are designed for good contact and heat dissipation, keeping connector temperature low during continuous use.
Yes, the source must provide a 12 V power delivery profile; the cable contains no voltage-negotiation logic of its own.
