Battery Lock Clip for ThinkPad X220 X230

This replacement latch secures the battery on Lenovo ThinkPad X220 X220I X230I X230 models. It is a small plastic buckle that clicks into the chassis to hold the battery firmly in place. The part is supplied new and ready to install.

Check battery bay and latch design

Verify that the existing battery release mechanism uses a clip of the same shape before ordering. The product photos may not show true scale so compare the broken piece directly with the replacement. No tools beyond a small screwdriver are typically required for the swap.

Suits owners with a broken battery latch

Ideal for users whose battery no longer locks because the original plastic clip has snapped or worn out. Not suitable for ThinkPad models outside the X220 X230 series or for anyone needing a complete battery pack rather than just the locking piece.
