Questions about this item

Will the 888 antenna connect to the SMA-Female port on my older Baofeng UV-5R?

Yes, the 888 antenna uses a standard SMA-Male connector that fits the SMA-Female jack on the UV-5R and compatible Quansheng models.

How can I confirm the 888 antenna is transmitting correctly after fitting it?

Key the radio and watch for a steady TX indicator on the display; a clear signal report from a nearby station on the same frequency confirms proper operation.
