USB cable converts to 3.3 V TTL UART with a six-way 2.54 mm connector over 1.8 m
This new cable provides a direct USB link to 3.3 V logic serial ports using an FTDI bridge. The six-way connector uses a 2.54 mm pitch and the lead runs 1.8 m. It suits developers and engineers debugging embedded boards, routers or microcontroller projects that expose a TTL-level UART header.
The fixed 3.3 V output replaces improvised level-shifter circuits and removes the risk of damaging 3.3 V targets with 5 V signals. The FTDI chipset also replaces generic CDC devices that need extra driver effort on some operating systems. The jump is worth it when a reliable, driver-supported bridge is required for daily development or field service work.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable terminates in a 6-way connector with .1 inch pitch, matching a standard 2.54 mm header.
Install the FTDI VCP driver for the TTL-232R-3V3-WE compatible chip; without it the USB link will not enumerate.
