This Padcaster cable connects a microphone to an iPad using a male TRRS plug that fits the combined headphone and microphone port. The Y-split design provides a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack for monitoring and a separate 3.5 mm microphone input for recording. The splitter suits anyone recording voice or instruments directly to an iPad who also needs real-time headphone monitoring. It does not serve users whose devices lack a TRRS headset port or who require digital audio connections such as Lightning or USB-C interfaces. Single microphone and headphone support

The cable handles one microphone source and one stereo headphone pair at the same time, giving enough headroom for solo recording, interviews or streaming sessions.
