2-Pack USB-C PD/QC Trigger Module

This two-pack provides USB-C trigger modules that negotiate adjustable voltage from a PD or QC power source. Each board accepts a Type-C female input and can request 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V or 20 V output up to 5 A. They are intended for engineers, hobbyists and technicians who need programmable DC voltages for prototyping, testing or powering custom loads.

PD 3.0, PD 2.0, QC, FCP and AFC limits

The modules support PD 3.0, PD 2.0, QC, FCP and AFC protocols, but the actual voltage and current delivered depend entirely on the connected power supply capabilities. Maximum negotiated output is 20 V at 5 A (100 W), yet a source that only provides 12 V or lower current will restrict the module accordingly. Shorting the PD-only contact limits negotiation to PD protocol, while shorting DM/DP contacts enables USB data passthrough when required.

Check your power supply and load before ordering

Verify that your USB-C power adapter or bank explicitly supports the desired voltage levels (5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, 20 V) and can supply up to 5 A at the target voltage. Ensure the load you intend to power tolerates the selected voltage and does not exceed the module’s 5 A limit. The board retains the last voltage setting after power cycling, so confirm the default state matches your application to avoid accidental over-voltage on sensitive devices.
