Trayless 2×5.25″ to 3×3.5″ hot-swap rack

The iStarUSA BPN-DE230HD-SILVER converts two external 5.25-inch bays into three hot-swappable 3.5-inch drive slots. It accepts SAS I/II/III and SATA I/II/III hard drives with a 12Gb/s transfer rate. An aluminium frame, front bezel and handle provide rigid construction and a silver finish. A 70 mm fan with speed control and removable cover handles airflow.

Builders who want three hot-swap bays behind a locked aluminium door will find the key lock and blue or purple LED indicators useful. RAID support requires a separate controller card. The unit fits standard 5.25-inch openings measuring 3.35 by 5.71 by 7.64 inches. 12Gb/s SAS and SATA host interface

This single specification decides whether the rack matches the backplane or controller in the chassis. The tray supports SAS I/II/III and SATA I/II/III drives at up to 12Gb/s.
