The GIGABYTE G242-Z11 is a 2U rackmount barebone built for AI, machine-learning and high-performance computing workloads. It accepts one or two AMD EPYC 7003 or 7002 series processors in Socket SP3 and provides eight DDR4-3200 DIMM slots across eight memory channels. No CPU or memory is installed, so the integrator chooses the exact configuration.

GPU-dense compute nodes

This platform suits builders who need up to four PCIe Gen4 x16 GPU cards plus an OCP 3.0 mezzanine and two additional PCIe expansion slots. It is not for buyers who want more storage, because only four front 3.5-inch SATA bays and two rear 2.5-inch U.2/SAS/SATA bays are provided. It is also not for single-socket EPYC 7003 deployments that require the full eight-channel memory bandwidth of a dual-socket design.
