Passive 120 W thermal limit

This cooler relies on case airflow to dissipate up to 120 watts of heat through its skived copper fins. In a 1U enclosure the available air velocity becomes the practical ceiling; restricted airflow or high ambient temperatures will reduce effective capacity below the rated figure. No fan is included, so the chassis must supply sufficient directed flow across the fin stack. Thermal throttling occurs if that flow is inadequate.

Verify chassis airflow and CPU power

Before ordering, confirm that your 1U chassis delivers strong front-to-rear airflow across the CPU zone and that the processor TDP does not exceed 120 W. Check motherboard keep-out zones around the socket to ensure the heatsink footprint clears surrounding components.
