1U single-socket EPYC barebone

The ASUS RS500A-E11-RS4U-WOCPU010Z is a 1U rackmount barebone built around the Socket SP3 platform for AMD EPYC 7002 and 7003 series processors. It targets data-centre teams that need high core density and large memory capacity in a single-socket chassis. Sixteen DDR4 slots support up to 4 TB of RDIMM, LRDIMM or 3DS modules at 3200 MT/s. Four front 3.5-inch hot-swap bays accept SATA, SAS or NVMe drives, and dual 800 W power supplies provide redundancy.

Upgrade from single-socket 7002

Moving from an earlier EPYC 7002 single-socket system adds support for 3D V-Cache processors and the full 64-core, 128-thread ceiling at a 280 W TDP limit. The jump is worth it when workloads demand more threads per rack unit or when the larger memory ceiling reduces node count. It does not suit buyers who need dual-socket scaling or who require more than three PCIe 4.0 add-in slots for accelerator cards.

Sustained load with air cooling and tool-less

A heatsink-based air-cooling design keeps power-usage effectiveness low during continuous operation, while the integrated ASMB10-iKVM with ASPEED AST2600 enables remote monitoring without host OS dependence. The platform Root-of-Trust FPGA protects firmware integrity across long deployments. Tool-less internals reduce mean-time-to-repair when drives or DIMMs need replacement under load.
