Industrial enclosure with NEMA ratings

The Wiegmann N412202012SSC is a wall-mount electrical box rated NEMA 3R, 4, 4X and 12 for indoor or outdoor use. It meets IP66 and cULus standards. The 304 stainless steel body resists corrosion in wash-down or chemical environments. Installers choose it when a sealed, hinged enclosure is required for controls or wiring.

Sealed performance under continuous exposure

The seamless polyurethane poured-in-place gasket maintains a tight seal around the full perimeter during prolonged wet or dusty conditions. A solid cover with 1/4-turn semiflush latches secures the enclosure without tools while keeping the face smooth. The 14-gauge metal and #3 brushed finish hold up to repeated cleaning cycles and temperature swings.

Mounting and interior flexibility

Pre-drilled mounting holes allow direct wall attachment without extra brackets. Inside, the enclosure accepts interior panel 2NJ34 or 2NJ35 for component layout. The 20.0 in height, 20.0 in width and 12.0 in depth provide usable volume for terminal blocks, relays or small PLCs. Hinged cover simplifies routine inspection and maintenance access.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 14-gauge 304 stainless-steel enclosure dissipate when it runs all day?

The 14-gauge 304 stainless-steel body and poured-in-place polyurethane gasket are passive; they add no fan noise or active heat load, so internal temperature rise depends only on the equipment you install inside.

What separate parts must I already have to mount and use this 20.0 in H × 20.0 in W × 12.0 in D box?

You need a back-panel kit (2NJ34 or 2NJ35), mounting hardware for the pre-drilled wall holes, and any cable glands or conduit fittings rated for the NEMA 3R/4/4X/12 openings you will drill.

Will the 1/4-turn semiflush latches and IP66 gasket seal reliably against an older NEMA 12 panel I plan to keep?

Yes — the seamless poured gasket and quarter-turn latches meet IP66 and NEMA 12/3R/4/4X, so they maintain the same ingress protection as legacy NEMA 12 enclosures when the panel fits the 20 in × 20 in footprint.
