Enova DGX 1600 Enclosure

The AMX Enova DGX 1600 Enclosure is a digital media switcher designed for professional AV installations that require 4K and UHD signal distribution. It integrates a NetLinx NX controller for centralised device management and monitoring. The enclosure supports up to 16x16 matrix switching through modular input and output boards. Installers and system integrators use it to build scalable, high-resolution switching systems.

Steel construction with modular board slots

The enclosure uses a steel chassis that houses four video input boards and four video output boards, with four connections per board. Redundant power supplies are included to maintain operation during a single supply failure. Twisted pair and fiber transmitters and receivers attach to the boards, passing Ethernet through an integrated switch. Analog sources are converted to digital with automatic scaling for each connected display.

16x16 matrix limit and board population

The maximum matrix size is fixed at 16x16, determined by the four input and four output board slots. Each board provides only four ports, so expanding beyond 16 inputs or outputs requires additional enclosures. The integrated controller and switch handle only the devices connected within this enclosure. Systems needing larger matrices or different board types must plan for multiple units or alternative architectures.
