Crossover Adapter for Peer-to-Peer Links

This two-pack provides RJ45 male-to-female crossover adapters wired with pins 1 and 3 crossed and pins 2 and 6 crossed. They meet draft 11 of the EIA/TIA 586A specification and work with Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cords. The adapters let you connect two similar devices such as computers or routers directly without a dedicated crossover cable. Both linked devices may still require network configuration to communicate.

Passive Design With Gold-Plated Contacts

The adapter is a passive component that draws no power and generates no heat or noise during operation. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity over repeated insertions rated at 10007 cycles. The female RJ45 8P8C port accepts standard patch cords, while the male plug inserts into the device.
