This pack contains twenty RJ45 female-to-female couplers designed to join two Ethernet patch cables into a single longer run. Each unit accepts standard 8P8C connectors and supports Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 cable categories. The contacts are nickel plated and the housing uses fire-retardant plastic with a metallic shield. The couplers meet Category 6 performance per the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard and are RoHS compliant.

Installers extending existing runs

The couplers suit technicians or home users who need to bridge two shorter cables without pulling new cable through walls or conduit. They are not suited for telephone wiring because the RJ45 interface is incompatible with RJ11 plugs.
