What this splitter does

Signal handling and power

The device draws its operating power from the HDMI source itself, so no external adapter is required. Because it simply duplicates the incoming TMDS stream, it adds no measurable latency and does not alter the audio or video payload. HDCP signalling passes through unchanged, allowing protected content to play on both connected displays. Normal operation is silent and produces no noticeable heat.

Behaviour under sustained use

During continuous operation the splitter maintains a stable link on both outputs as long as the source signal remains present. The HDMI 1.4 interface limits the maximum bandwidth to the resolutions listed above, so higher refresh rates or deeper colour formats cannot be transmitted. If the source device drops the signal, both outputs lose sync simultaneously and recover together when the signal returns.
