Two-Port RS-232 M.2 Controller

This Vszerda card adds two independent RS-232 DB9 ports through an M.2 B+M key slot. It targets industrial and embedded systems that still rely on legacy serial equipment. The board provides 16 multi-purpose I/O lines and a global interrupt status register for both UARTs. Buyers who need more than two serial ports or a different host interface cannot use this card.

300 to 921600 Baud Operating Range

Each UART channel supports configurable data rates from 300 baud up to 921600 baud with 16550-compatible registers. Flow control options include none, Xon/Xoff and hardware modes across the full signal set. The operating temperature span reaches -40 °C to +85 °C for harsh environments. Systems requiring higher throughput or different electrical standards fall outside this device's capability.

256-Byte FIFOs and 32-Bit Data Path

Dual 256-byte transmit and receive FIFOs buffer serial traffic while the host moves data in 32-bit operations. This headroom suits typical industrial protocols and console access without host overload. Sustained maximum-rate streams on both ports simultaneously may exceed the available buffer depth. Applications demanding deeper queues or DMA-driven transfers need a different controller.
