Vszerda 2-in-1 M.2 B-key & mSATA Adapter

This adapter enclosure converts a single M.2 NGFF B-key or B/M-key SATA SSD or an mSATA SATA SSD into a standard 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 drive. It is designed for users upgrading older laptops or desktops that only accept 2.5-inch SATA drives. The aluminium enclosure protects the installed module while providing a standard SATA data and power interface. It allows reuse of existing SATA-based M.2 or mSATA storage in systems without native slots.

Suits builders adding SATA M.2

The adapter accepts either an M.2 NGFF B-key or B/M-key SATA SSD or an mSATA SATA SSD, but not both simultaneously. If both are inserted, the M.2 slot takes priority and the mSATA drive remains inactive. It is not for owners of M-key only modules, nor for builds needing two drives active at once. Systems without a free 2.5-inch SATA connection cannot use this enclosure.

Key constraint: M.2 B-key or B/M-key SATA only

The single specification that decides compatibility is the M.2 keying: the slot only works with B-key or B/M-key SATA modules. M-key only SATA SSDs will not fit or function. The host interface is SATA 3.0 with SATA revision 3.2 support, so the drive speed matches the host controller's SATA limit.
