The Virdi BL-DA-RF4000 is a fingerprint authentication terminal built for door access control and time-and-attendance tracking. It operates as a standalone unit or connects to a network via TCP/IP for centralised management. The device supports 1:1 verification and 1:N identification across multiple credential layers including fingerprint, password and RF or smart card combinations. A supplied FP server program and SDK simplify deployment and custom integration.

Network-ready unit with IR wake and dry-finger

The terminal mounts at the entry point and draws power locally, connecting to the LAN for real-time monitoring or functioning offline when the network is unavailable. An integrated IR detector senses a user’s approach to wake the scanner and conserve energy, while intelligent image capture reads dry or damp fingers without manual triggering. The white backlit graphic LCD of 128 by 64 pixels displays multilingual prompts and lock-status feedback. Compatibility with DVR systems and audio interphones lets the unit slot into existing security infrastructure.

SDK and server software for custom access rules

The bundled FP server program handles user enrolment, configurable security levels per person and time-and-attendance reporting through dedicated function keys. An available SDK lets developers extend functionality or embed the terminal in proprietary platforms. Alarm outputs warn against forced opening, and the terminal can be remotely locked or released, giving administrators direct control over physical access without extra hardware.
