Complete Access Control Kit

The Ubiquiti UA-SK UniFi Access Starter Kit bundles an Access Hub, a Reader Pro and a Reader Lite with twenty access cards. It targets businesses that want a modern, centrally managed entry system without assembling separate components. The kit works with common electric bolts, strikes and magnetic locks, so installers can retrofit existing doors with minimal wiring changes. A UniFi Dream Machine Pro or Cloud Key Plus is required to run the UniFi Access application.

PoE Power and Card Capacity

The system draws power through native PoE, eliminating the need for local power supplies at each reader, though a PoE switch is not included. Twenty cards are supplied, which covers a small team or a single site; additional cards must be purchased separately when headcount grows. The UniFi Access application handles user enrolment, visitor passes, schedules and access policies from one dashboard. Larger deployments will need extra hubs and readers beyond the three devices in this box.

Hub-Centric Wiring and Mounting

The Access Hub acts as the central controller, so every reader and lock wires back to it, simplifying cable runs and troubleshooting. Both readers are designed for standard wall mounting at doorways, keeping daily badge taps at a comfortable height. Because the kit omits a PoE switch and the required Dream Machine Pro or Cloud Key Plus, the installer must budget for those network pieces before the system goes live.
