The Tripp Lite SRWF6U36 is a 6U vertical wall-mount enclosure built from heavy-duty steel with a black powder-coated finish. It holds standard 19-inch rack equipment up to 36 inches deep while extending only 11.50 inches from the wall. The cabinet supports a maximum load of 150 pounds and includes a locking front door and top panel for physical security. It ships fully assembled for immediate mounting in wiring closets, retail back offices or classrooms.

Replaces Floor-Standing Cabinets

This unit replaces a freestanding rack when floor space is unavailable or when only a few devices need secure housing. The vertical orientation adds 6U of primary mounting space plus a slide-out 2U bracket at the top for patch panels up to 2.5 inches deep. The jump is worth it when you need server-depth capacity in a low-profile footprint and can mount directly to structural wall studs using the included M6 and 12-24 hardware.

Limits Of Vertical Wall Mounting

The 150-pound weight limit and 11.50-inch projection constrain the type and quantity of gear you can install; heavier multi-node servers or deep UPS arrays may exceed the rating. Ventilation relies on passive airflow through the vented panels, so high-heat loads may require supplemental cooling not provided by the cabinet. Cable routing uses top and bottom ports only, which can limit density when many patch cords are terminated in the 2U slide-out bracket.
