USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender kit

The Tripp Lite BHDBT3-USB kit extends four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports up to 328.08 feet over a single Cat6a cable using HDBaseT 3.0 technology. It is designed for installers who need to place webcams, interactive whiteboards, security equipment or external storage far from the host computer in conference halls, auditoriums or museums. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver with a total of seven USB ports and two RJ-45 network jacks for the extension link.

Sustained 5 Gbps throughput

The Valens chipset maintains USB 3.2 Gen 1 data rates up to 5 Gbps across the full 100 metre distance without the signal drop-off typical of passive cables. Backward compatibility with earlier USB generations ensures legacy peripherals continue to operate at their native speeds. RS-232 and FSYNC GPIO pass-through channels run concurrently, so control signals and frame-sync data travel alongside high-bandwidth video or storage traffic during long sessions.

PoC power and fanless metal chassis

Bi-directional 24 V Power over Cable delivers electricity to the remote unit through the same Cat6a link, removing the need for a local outlet at the far end. The enclosed metal housing in black dissipates heat passively, so the extender runs silently in lecture halls or exhibition rooms where acoustic noise is unacceptable. The included 45 W supply connects at either end, giving installers flexibility when routing power in rack or wall-mounted deployments.
