Thermal Grizzly
High-performance phase-change thermal pad, 50x40mm, solid at room temperature and liquefies above 45°C for optimal CPU and GPU heat transfer
The Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM is a 50x40mm thermal pad built on phase-change material. It stays solid at room temperature for clean, easy handling and only liquefies above 45°C to fill microscopic gaps. The pad is non-electrically conductive, making it safe for direct use on CPUs, GPUs and other sensitive electronics.
Optimum distribution of the liquid phase demands a contact pressure of around 300-400N. Without sufficient pressure the pad cannot achieve its lowest possible layer thickness, limiting heat transfer. The material also contracts on solidification to minimise the pump-out effect caused by differing thermal expansion between copper coolers and silicon dies.
Stable thermal conductivity is maintained after about 10 cycles, offering longer service life than traditional pastes but less than premium graphite alternatives. Buyers who need a pad that lasts indefinitely without re-application should consider other solutions.

| Features | The PhaseSheet PTM is a thermal pad based on a phase change material (PCM). The pads, which are solid at room temperature, can be easily applied and liquefy during operation, allowing them to effectively dissipate heat like a thermal paste. PhaseSheet PTM is electrically non-conductive and can therefore be used in many areas, with the primary application being in processors and graphics chips. |
The pad measures 50 by 40 millimetres and can be trimmed to fit smaller dies or left full-size for larger heatspreaders.
The material stays solid until the component reaches about 45 °C, then liquefies to fill microscopic gaps and returns to solid when it cools, minimising pump-out over repeated cycles.
Thermal Grizzly specifies roughly 300 to 400 newtons of contact pressure so the liquid phase spreads into the thinnest possible layer for best thermal transfer.
