The TAURKENAM Light Bulb Security Camera installs directly into standard E26 or E27 light sockets operating on AC 110 to 240 V. It connects to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks through the EseeCloud app, providing a wireless surveillance option for homeowners and renters who want monitoring without separate power wiring or drilling. The screw-in design suits porches, garages and indoor spaces where a light fitting already exists.

Sustained Operation on Mains Power

Because the unit draws continuous power from the light socket, it remains active for extended recording and live-view sessions without battery depletion or thermal throttling that affects battery cameras. The dual-band Wi-Fi maintains a stable link during prolonged streaming, reducing frame drops when the camera pans through its 360° range. Motion-triggered alerts and two-way audio calls continue to function reliably as long as the mains supply and network stay online.

Practical Limits of the Light-Socket Interface

The camera is confined to locations with a compatible E26 or E27 base and a constant AC supply, so it cannot be positioned on walls, ceilings or poles without an adapter. Night vision covers up to 33 ft in colour, smart or infrared modes, but the fixed mounting height of the light fixture may restrict the field of view compared to adjustable brackets. Video resolution tops out at 2K, which is sharper than 1080P but still bound by the available Wi-Fi bandwidth and the app’s compression.
